One great video rarely moves the needle on its own — reach compounds from posting regularly, across more than one platform. This module turns "post more" into an actual number you can plan around.
Views per video vary a lot by platform
A video posted to five platforms doesn't get five times the reach of one platform — each platform has its own typical audience size and algorithm behavior, so the same video earns very different view counts depending on where it's posted. That's why the plan below is based on real, cited benchmarks rather than a single guess.
Why spreading across platforms needs fewer total videos
If you rely on just one platform to hit a views goal, you need enough videos to get there on that platform's typical performance alone. Spread the same videos across several platforms, and each one contributes its own reach toward the same goal — so the total number of videos you need to produce drops. This is the same "don't be everywhere, be where your buyer is — but also don't limit yourself to just one place" logic from Social Media Ads 101, applied to volume instead of budget.
Plan your cadence

Uses the same per-channel average-views-per-video figures cited in our growth calculator (Socialinsider, 2026; Socialinsider Benchmarks, 2026). Posting to more platforms needs fewer total videos to hit the same goal than relying on just one. Illustrative only — actual results vary by brand and niche.
